301 is a high strength, austenitic stainless steel composed of 7% Nickel and 17% Chromium. this grade of steel is resistant to corrosion and has an attractive surface available in multiple finishes, ideal for structural and architectural applications. 301 stainless steel is highly versatile, often used in the automotive industry for trim, wheel covers, and molding. Despite being resistant to many types of corrosive media, carbide precipitation can occur during welding.
